Aquinasfest 2015!

We enjoyed a weekend with Lito and Lita as we continued the tradition of having Lito visit for our parish festival. It was so great to spend time with both of them this year!
Some of us went to the Friday night Bingo, but I didn't get any pics of that...

Handsome guys all ready for the vigil mass (and the Aggie game afterwards. What a game!)

 Reading time with Lita

Lito's buddy

And the big festival Sunday
Anastasia rode a horse by herself this time! It even had it's tail painted pink.

Gloria with a family favorite, sweet Miss Melissa

 Mariana looked like a natural!

And Sebastian's first ride, with Daddy of course!

Sebastian saw this game from afar and kept saying "baseball," pointing and walking to it. So we let him play of course! So big!

Anastasia was set on jumping. I am pretty sure she could just jump all day, but after 20 minutes or so, everyone else was ready to move on! That's my energetic girl!

The kids enjoyed the indoor games too. Allia was determined to win a cake because we have done so in years past. But it didn't work out. Lucky for her it was Pawpaw's birthday, so we had cake after our dinner with him that evening anyway. Fun times!

Soccer girl

Allia's soccer season started with their first game this weekend. Her team is bright tangerine this year. Lito got to come with us to watch. They played a great game and tied 0-0.

Happy Birthday Party!

Like Allia, Mariana had her party the day after. Since it is #10, she got to pick where she wanted to go and just have friends, no siblings. She decided to play a game of laser tag, then on to sno cones, and back home for cake and gifts (where everyone was welcome to join in).

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
(My phone didn't like taking photos with the lit candles. Sorry for the blurriness!)

Happy Birthday, Mariana!

We had a great day with Daddy home from work (my birthday gift). We had breakfast and then met our friends at the park. Stephen had his first Hot Shots class, and we shared cupcakes and fun times! Austin rented a couple of movies for the weekend, so we watched one of those, and then Pawpaw and Manah took us out to dinner.

More Happy Birthday!

Allia got to celebrate for two days in a row since her party was the next day! She chose a Mexican Fiesta theme complete with piñata.

This piñata was awesome. It lasted through the entire group, and some even got a second turn. When it finally did burst, it made quite a show. It was like a candy bomb going off!

This guy loves lolly pops, and he accidentally stumbled upon a secret stash when he climbed up the slide. He was so excited!

Their favorite game was musical chairs. It was pretty fierce. They requested an encore competition at the end of the party, and we played until everyone who hadn't won prizes had a chance to win.

There was also a scavenger hunt, but I missed photos of that!
"Happy Birthday to you"

Fun times! Allia actually planned most of the party. I was mostly the execution team with some great help from my other half. ;)

Happy 12th Birthday!

I was sick the night before, so her day started a little off. But we made the most of it! I had managed to wrap her gifts before I crawled into bed the evening before. So she opened gifts from us and Lito and Lita in my room so I could watch. Austin stayed home so I could recover a bit, so she got the bonus of Daddy being home for her birthday. And our park group was meeting at the park just a block away with cupcakes and all, so Austin let the 3 big girls go to that gathering on their own. Mrs. R even sent cupcakes home with the girls for all of us. So sweet! By lunch I was feeling much better, and Austin ordered Chinese, so we all enjoyed that for sure! Then he made his special smoked ribs for dinner. Yum! We were so happy to celebrate our growing girl. I really can't believe she is 12!

Quiet Boy

This morning, Sebastian went out in the back while we did some school (watching him through the window). He perched himself on this little slide and sat there, quiet and still, for 10 whole minutes just staring off. It was so sweet and amazing to watch. After a while, I called the girls over to see him. One of them said, "Maybe he is talking to his Guardian Angel." When they went out to talk to him, they asked him about it, and he just smiled. Then he said "Dubee" which we thought means "Loving". Then a few moments later he said, "Pay" (pray) and folded his hands in prayer. So sweet! Maybe the girls were right!
