Last Day of Swim Lessons!

The city changed things up quite a bit this year, so Allia was actually too advanced for lessons. And Anastasia pretended to be afraid of the water with her teacher, so I pulled her out. We ended up with only 3 in lessons, but it was still a little crazy to get everyone ready and there by 9am. Whew! The three swimmers all did really well and passed their levels with flying colors. Stephen improved by leaps and bounds in his swimming these last few weeks!

Baseball game and more!

Life has been busy with summer fun. Last night we attended a Brazos Valley Bombers baseball game, compliments of Austin's work. It included dinner, free gifts and ice cream, and the "Kid Zone" which had bouncers, games and even a trapeze! The three older girls were so excited to be able to try the trapeze. We all had a great time despite it being crazy hot out there!

Mirror friend

After getting soaked playing in the rain, Sebastian discovered a little friend in the garage mirror. He was so cute telling himself "Hi" and smiling. A few times he did get a little pensive when his reflection kept imitating his movements. So cute!

Gymnastics girl

Gloria chose gymnastics for her summer activity. She definitely has some natural gifts for it! She has done really well in her first two lessons!

Swimming accomplishments

We went to the pool yesterday afternoon, and Stephen started swimming! I am so excited! Anastasia was diving for swim rings on the third step too. So proud of my little swimmers.

Strong boy

Again, Sebastian tries to show Daddy he is not the only strong man in the family. ;)

Art Camp

Allia went to art camp this week, which she has been looking forward to all year (we missed it last year)! It was Tolkien themed, which made it even more awesome. She had a great time and learned a lot too. Here she is with some of her work the last day.
I thought it was super cute, and showed how artistic her teacher really is, to have this Hobbit Hole door!

First lost tooth!

Stephen said that his tooth was loose yesterday, but I didn't pay much attention since he frequently says that when someone else gets a reward for a lost tooth. But then today, he was complaining of it hurting when he ate. I checked it out, and it was actually quite loose. He let me pull it for him with the promise of a trip to Bahama Buck's, and didn't even shed a tear. Brave Boy!

New bike!

Pawpaw surprised Mariana this morning with a trip to Wal-mart to pick out a new bike. Her older, smaller one has not been working for a while, and she was really ready for a bigger size. So she and Allia have been sharing Allia's...which means Allia has been doing a lot of riding, and Mariana has been wishing she could. ;) We were waiting for our big parish garage sale, but wait no more! It was extra special since she has never picked one out before but always received Allia's hand-me-downs.

Goings on

We have been quite busy trying to finish up school, starting/getting ready for summer activites, etc. Here are a few little things that have been going on...

Discovering old games from mine and Austin's childhood... I never could fold these things as a child, but I got the hang of it now, and Allia caught on quickly!

And the new rave around here, Bahama Buck's sno cones. I resisted trying that place for quite some time but finally gave in. Now all the kids are trying to score dates there. Mariana was the first successful one, pulling her loose tooth!

And the rain finally let up enough for some trips to the pool! The little guy looooves the water. He was screaming when I made him come dry off after being there for an hour and a half! Mariana and Allia took turns jumping in with him, which he greatly enjoyed. :)
