Some stats

Gloria and Stephen had their late 12 month and 3 year well checks today (didn't want shots right before Christmas OR the wedding!). Here is how they fared:

Gloria at 3 yrs: 37 inches tall, 26 lbs.
Stephen at 13 months: 31 inches tall, 24.5 lbs.

Sunday dinner

My sweet hubby cooks on Sundays to give me a break, and he usually makes a lot so I have leftovers for the week. Here was our beautiful dinner Sunday night. He is so sweet!

Handsome little guy

The girls said, "He looks like Pawpaw from the back!" Too cute.

Sandbox sharing

Everything is more fun with friends right? (and it helps when Stephen is napping so everyone doesn't end up with sand in their hair!)

More sandbox

Stephen finally warmed up to it...look out everyone! He plays very boisterously which means sand flies in the air a lot!

Daddy really did a good job on this. They all play happily together for so long it is almost amazing!

Newest word

Stephen's newest word is "owwww." He has expanded it's meaning from "that hurts" to something along the lines of "I don't like that" or "you aren't going to like this" depending on whether he is inflicting something on someone or is the victim. It is pretty funny. For instance, when I laid him in his bed for nap today, he looked up at me and said, "Owwww?" inquisitively wondering if he really had to go down for nap and expressing that he did not want to. Then as I walked out, and he realized the answer, he again said, "owwww" in a more painful tone of voice. Cute boy! I will try to get a video...

It was beautiful and lots of fun! Congrats, Matt and Christina!

*I couldn't get photos of the girls coming down the aisle from my seat...so I am hoping somebody else will send me theirs...and we took some family photos at the reception with several other cameras that I hope to add in too! :)

Matchies

Tio Enrique and Aunt Summer sent the girls these matching scrubs. They are so excited about them and look sooooo cute (if I do say so myself).

These two had just finished their art lesson which was to illustrate one of Aesop's fables that I read to them.

Sharing

Mariana missed her last RE class before Christmas due to the discomfort of her broken arm. So yesterday she received her little bag of treats from her teachers. She shared very generously...here she is sharing a little piece of candy cane with a very appreciative baby brother.

Basket boy

We have a shoe basket at the front and back door. Stephen's new favorite passtime is to empty all the shoes out onto the floor and climb into the basket himself. If it weren't so crazy cute it would be annoying to have the shoes all over the floor, but just look at him...all we can do is smile and giggle. Cute boy!

First haircut

*sniffle*
Daddy decided Stephen's hair was looking too unkept, and without even telling me, he trimmed it around his ears and in the back this morning. He even trimmed off a tiny curl. Now Stephen just looks a bit more grown up. *Sigh*

"New" bikes

When big sis gets a new bike, it results in a whole line of hand-me-downs. Everyone is enjoying their "new" bikes.
