Some research

After Gloria had a pretty serious reaction to her 2 month vaccines, I decided to do some research. I am reading this book, and it is very eye opening! There is a lot we are oblivious to when it comes to this stuff. I just figured if they recommended it, it was safe, especially to prevent serious disease! I have some thinking to do before our next appointment...

This is the other book on my HUGE reading list! Let me know what you think about! I'm trying to move as fast as I can through the Stephanie Cave one, we have to exchange notes soon! I am so sorry Gloria had a hard time with the shots!!! :( I worry about long-term effects that I can't even see yet. :( Deep breaths, God is in control :) There is no better care-taker for our children :)

I'm reading it too, Kristen! It's such a hard call either way. We haven't done any w/ any of our kids so far (except MC up to 2mos), but are considering starting up w/ the girls now (for some of the vaccines) and doing a delayed schedule for SJ. Julia has it right, though, God is in control! But it's hard when he gives us some of these hard choices!!!

She had what is considered a "neurological" reaction. She altered between screaming her head off inconsolably and totally lethargic. I could barely even nurse her. She would not allow me to lay her horizontal, so I had to stand up and nurse with her in a vertical position (my foot up on a chair and her propped on my knee). Supposedly this type of reaction is the result of swelling in the brain. Yikes! I also had this reaction as a baby after the old DTP.
