A nickname?
We have discussed nicknames for Anastasia, mostly because the girls are just interested in the idea of nicknames, but also because her name is long. We formerly thought "Ana," but the other day I suggested "Annie," and Gloria decided that was it. So she now calls baby sister Annie every time she can remember and smiles a big smile. She does have red hair, so I think it fits, minus the curls. ;) We'll see if it sticks.

Aww, I love it! We call Ann Marie 'Annie' all of the time. It is a cute nickname.
So cute!! I think all of my kids have or have had nicknames at some point. I think that is such a cute one ;)
That is cute. Right away people wanted to call Magdalene "Maggie" and we knew that was going to happen when we were discussing the name before she was born. But with her middle name being Agnes, we get Maggie Aggie now :) I still like calling her Magdalene :)
I tend to be a fan of using their full name too (after all we picked it because we like it!) but I don't mind an occasional nickname. :) I think Maggie is cute but I would want to call her Magdalene too if I were you!
I agree with Kristen, Anastasia is her name, why chop it up? It is a beautiful, meaningful name. Of course if you want a nickname that's OK too but I'll just call her Anastasia. Remember there are also other forms like Ana, Anita, Stacy, etc. just in case. Love you all...Mom
