Rollin' rollin' rollin'
Our little Gloria is rolling. Well, at least she did it once from her back to tummy, lay there a few seconds, and then kicked herself back (therefore no photo to post!). But it counts! She has also been doing other fun stuff like trying to grab objects and put them in her mouth with relatively frequent success, including big sisters' hair. Yeeeouch! Yay big girl!
**Edited: She is definitely rolling. All it took was a nap, and now every time I lay her down I find her on her tummy...ususally complaining because she can't quite get back over!

Favorite Songs
It is so funny how even at such a young age, each of our girls has had her own taste in music. They have all been particularly responsive to one certain song:
Allia: "When the Saints Go Marching In"
She really did not like the car seat as a baby, and so I must have sang every song I know to her while driving places. Mysteriously, this is the one that would stop her crying...but you had to keep singing it or she would cry. So Austin and I became very skilled at singing it in rounds, making up harmonies, etc. to keep it going! :-)
Mariana: "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"
She has always liked this one and still does. She loves story time at the library and all the different activities, but if you ask her what her favorite part is...it's not the books, bells or bubbles. It is singing this song and doing the hand motions that go with it!
Gloria: "You are My Sunshine"
She loves it! She can hardly keep from smiling when I sing it, even if she is being fussy. And it also happens to be part of our story time repertoire, so this really helps her stay happy at the library!

My shadow
For the last 2 days, Allia has followed me around with her "real-size" baby doll (the one that is the same size Gloria was when we brought her home) doing everything I do. If I put Gloria down for a nap, Allia puts her baby doll down. If I change a diaper, so does Allia. If I nurse, Allia hikes up her shirt and nurses the doll. It is so funny...like "a day in the life of." Today she asked me to please stop smiling and/or laughing when she hikes her shirt up to nurse the doll as I feed Gloria. Oops!
