Big guy

More photos of my big 2 month old boy. :) He is getting his fist and occasionally a finger or thumb in his mouth now. He also got rid of some newborn quirks like not being able to nurse in noisy places...including sometimes our living room. So glad that phase is past!

P.S. The reason he is wearing a hat even though it is 85 degrees out is that I can't stand bald spots! So I put hats on to try and prevent them. Never had a summer baby before though!

2 Months Old!

Sebastian is 2 months old (yesterday)! I almost missed it with the holiday weekend. What a sweet guy he is...and a good baby. He likes to nap in the car and on me in the moby wrap. He goes down well in his bed at night and sleeps anywhere from 5-8 hours. We are really enjoying his sweet little coos and smiles. He just gets so excited when we stop our busy lives and talk to him! I can't wait to see how much he has grown at his dr. appointment, but we will have to wait another week. I have formation again this weekend and did not want to risk throwing him off with shots.

More baby holding

There is always a clamor to hold this guy...when we get up in the morning, after I finish feeding him...Gloria won this time!

Cascarones!

We had a whirlwind of a week with three days where Austin was with the children, and I (with baby) was gone for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd catechist formation most of the day. We were reunited yesterday and decided it was a good time to use the cascarones we bought for Easter. Fun times!

Not as enthused as his siblings
And just for the record, Austin tiled the last remaining bathroom while he was home with assistance from the children. Anastasia was actually his best helper!

Soccer Champs

Allia's soccer team won the end of season tournament yesterday! It was a riveting day. They played hard, and it was not an easy win. Several of the girls' teams improved greatly throughout the season. This was such a great group of girls and a wonderful coach. She was very blessed this year. They celebrated with a swim party at one of the girl's houses afterward. So fun!

He smiles!

Sebastian has been smiling in response to us for about a week now. So sweet. It is always so special when that newborn gaze fades in to expression and smiles! The kids are reveling in it! I was able to get some good photos yesterday since he was in a pretty good mood most of the day. He let me put him down without crying quite a bit (which is major for him)! He is also starting to coo and make other little expressive noises.

And a nice brotherly chat

First Communion day

Today is the first anniversary of Mariana's first communion. We were at Sam's yesterday, so we picked up a batch of their yummy cupcakes to help celebrate!

Soccer!

Saturday was the last day of regular soccer games for the season. Allia's team will play in the end of season tournament next Saturday.

Allia's team played a great game, and even though she has not been feeling well all week, Allia scored two goals! Her team won 8-1 which put them in first place going into next weekend's tournament.

Gloria scored a goal in her last game and had a great time playing as usual!

 Gloria really liked coach Francine!

First Communion Day

We celebrated the third anniversary of Allia's first Communion. I had to go to HEB, so I let her pick a cake to bake (box...I usually do from scratch, but I have to be practical with baby in tow!) and dinner. She picked breakfast for dinner including French Toast and bacon and a pink velvet cake with strawberry icing which she made mostly on her own.
