"Pleasey, pleasey"

This is Mariana's new phrase when she really wants something. I am finding it very irresistible. What is it about adding that sound to a normally plain word that makes it so incredibly cute? I am not sure, but for now she is hearing a lot of "yes" from Mommy. :-)

Reminds me of the story "Please" in William Bennett's Book of Virtues. One little boy NEVER uses his "please." Needing some air, his "please" runs across the table to his brother who always uses his "please." Since the brother has both his own "please" and that of his brother, he says "Please, please" for a while. And the parents are impressed with his exceptional manners. Eventually the "please" runs back to his owner and is then used often.

Sounds like Mariana might have someone else's "please." ;-)
