Prom!

 Gloria went with a group of friends yesterday to take pictures, have dinner out and enjoy the dance. She was pretty tired from her 4-H District food competition that morning but managed to have a good time, and it was a sweet group of kids!

Field trip

Our homeschool group had a great local field trip yesterday. We learned a lot about producing and distributing animal feed including some cool AgRobots!

Dancing at a retirement home

Mariana and Stephen danced for a family day at a very nice local retirement home this afternoon. They did a great job, and the residents enjoyed it so much!

Gloria's Confirmation

We were so excited to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for Gloria today! We were joined by Uncle Mike and Tia Becky, Lito, and Pawpaw and Manah. It was a beautiful mass with Austin directing and Mariana singing with the women's schola. Gloria even answered one of the Vicar General's questions to the group of candidates! We had a nice dinner at our house with family plus her sponsor's family and even a few other friends. It was such a wonderful celebration.

Four Square

 I just love it when they play happily together, and it's nice to see the new concrete being put to good use!

Parents' weekend performance

 Our guy danced at Century Square by campus for parents' weekend this morning. He and his partner did an awesome job. The younger kids and I enjoyed some waffles and nice outside time while we waited for the performance, and Allia even met us to watch the dance and hang out a bit.

Happy Easter!

We had a beautiful Triduum with time for prayer and reflection including Mariana's last performance in the passion play as a "weeping woman." Then, on Holy Saturday, we began preparations. The younger kids helped fill Easter eggs and make the crowns of jewels.

We were very blessed to have Fr. Albert, a seminarian who was formerly a youth director at our parish, Pawpaw and Manah, and some sweet friends with no family nearby all join us for a delicious lunch and an egg hunt after mass.

Driveway project

 We began the first phase of the driveway replacement several weeks ago. We finally finished including the flower bed to dress up the garage conversion. :)

Visit

 Austin and Stephen made it back in time for lunch and a visit with my nephew's family, who were in town for a Frisbee golf tournament. We enjoyed his cute little ones so much!

Ryder spent about half the day outside throwing the baseball. We may have a future Aggie pitcher in the family!

District 4H Shooting

 Stephen's first Air Rifle competition was today at District. They were up crazy early to drive there, and he did great despite the sleepy morning.
