STEM Camp

This guy had a 2 week STEM camp on Texas A&M Campus. He had a great time and learned so much. He was so excited to tell me his sumobot won the competition on the last day!

Working together

 

These two went through a volatile phase so it's nice to see them getting along and working together!

Visit with Jake's Family

 Jake's family was in town again this weekend. Our teen girls were on retreat, but the rest of us really enjoyed seeing them again. These little ones are so precious!

I took these two to the park in the morning to run off some energy before it got too hot. They had a lot of fun together.

Anastasia enjoyed not having to compete with the older girls for baby time. She held Ada a lot!

Ballet Camp

 She finally got her chance to shine at ballet camp this week. What a cutie!

Veteran's dinner

 The younger crew helped at the annual Veterans' dinner with 4-H tonight as the older girls left on retreat for the weekend.

Wrangler Tryouts!

 As if VBS isn't enough, we had Lil' Wrangler Boot camp in the afternoon all week and tryouts today! Gloria, Stephen and Anastasia attended boot camp. But they couldn't find a partner for Anastasia to try out with, so she will take a class this year and try again next summer. Gloria has a new partner to dance with this year, and Stephen kept his same partner from last year.

VBS Week

 We had 5 volunteers and 2 attendees this year. It was a crazy week (including having to squeeze in an out of town trip to the holistic dentist due to a reschedule) but lots of fun.

Cecilia begged me to lead her group this year, so I was with 1st grade. She made a buddy for the week, and they were so adorable together!

And one of her usual buddies that was in a different grade but hung out before everything started in the morning. The kids always enjoy these sticker activities while they wait.

It was a group effort to get everyone fed and ready for the day each morning!

It was Anastasia's first year to help, and she rocked it with one of her friends in the snack station. She is a hard worker and a good helper, that sweet girl!

We also had Mariana leading the music station (since no adults volunteered), Mariana leading the skit team and Anastasia participating, Stephen assisting at the games station, and Gloria helping with the Intermediate school group.

Tortilla pizza

 This guy was so proud (and his sister too) of making his own tortilla pizza for lunch....because he didn't like what I was serving!

July 4th

 We followed our usual plan and headed to Lito and Lita's house for family BBQ lunch and swimming...and stomp rockets! Allia was assigned the role of photographer and did a great job! We drove home mid-afternoon and headed to a friend's house for more swimming, BBQ and fireworks. 

Family Visit

 We had been trying to squeeze in a visit to Aunt Karen and all her crew. We had a different trip planned for the weekend, but it was canceled so we took advantage and made a day trip. It was so fun to see everyone and spend time with the little cuties. We even had a quick dinner out together before driving home!
