Both the older girls were at friends' houses this afternoon when the little ones woke up from nap. I think Stephen was just so grateful that all of his sisters were not missing this time. He kept giving Gloria hugs and kisses and sitting in her lap so she could read him books!

Gifts from Pawpaw and Manah

A package of gifts from Pawpaw and Manah arrived today, and per their instruction all were opened. What fun!




Goldfish and a ball...what more could a boy want?


He is really excited about this ball. Side story: Last week, while Pawpaw and Manah were here, it was bulk trash day. Austin had cleaned out the backyard toys, so there were many uninflatable balls in the pile. At some point Stephen discovered this and decided it was where to put the balls. So he put a practically brand new soccer ball that all the kids were fond of into the pile unbeknownst to Mom and I. Dad saw him but was not outside when the garbage truck came and neither was I or I might have realized the mistake. The other children noticed just in time to watch the big crusher crush the ball into the trash. Much crying ensued. So here is Stephen's replacement mini soccer ball. So proud.

Little one was so still and comfy that we really couldn't see any evidence of the gender (which makes me think girl because that is how Allia was)...so we will get one more peek at my appt. with the doc Monday, and if not we may have a surprise in January!!! We did get to see baby drinking amniotic fluid with mouth WIDE open, so hopefully we will have a good eater on our hands. And there are certainly worse things than being modest...:)

A car full

We had two of the girls' friends over this morning during the time that I had to bring Gloria to and from dance. So Austin and I switched cars for the day (his has one more seat than mine), he generously arranged the carseats before work this morning, and here we are with a car full of smiling faces...they were so excited to ride together!

My Big Girl!

Today was Gloria's first day of her fall dance class. She has been begging to go back since dance camp this summer, and I just couldn't refuse. As soon as she woke up, she started asking when it would be time to go. The class is at 11:10, so she had quite a wait! Here she is doing a puzzle to help pass the time. And she did this whole puzzle by herself after we worked it together and took it apart. Smart girl!


She loved the class of course. The were playing freeze dance when I arrived to pick her up, and she was all smiles in her cute little tap shoes! Hopefully more photos next week!

First "cool" snap

I just love the first bit of cool weather in the fall. We have been outside all morning. Here are the girls skating while Stephen trails them on his trike. The high is still supposed to be 90 degrees today, but it feels just heavenly outside right now!
