Happy All Saints' Day!

We started celebrating Sunday with the All Saints party at church after morning mass. We had St. Anastasia, St. Sebastian and St. Cecilia (go figure!). The older kids helped with the party, but I didn't manage to snag photos of them! Allia was St. Teresa of Calcutta, Mariana was St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Gloria was a baby holder for our youth leader while he ran the show (which she thoroughly enjoyed), and Stephen helped St. Isidore with his pumpkin bowling station.

Then later that afternoon we headed to a Halloween party some friends of ours hosted. It was lots of fun but in walking around trick or treating at the end, I was reminded of why Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I hate the glorification of evil and death. Cecilia experienced this when she excitedly ran up to a little girl (she might have been 7years old) in a fluffly white dress and asked, "what are you dressed as?" The girl responded, "A dead bride," to which Cecilia quickly replied, "I don't like that," and walked away. Me neither, Cecilia!

We were happy to celebrate All Saints again the next day at a friend's house. It was a huge group of saints of all ages, and they had a great time together!

We also made it to mass with Allia and a quick lunch between events to celebrate her baptism day. And she had me take some more "new Aggie" photos of her. So exciting!
